| A Yummy Slice of Tiramisu Cake! |
Dah, dah, dah, dah..... Finally, after over a month with no posts, I have managed to get this one finished.  So sorry it has been so long!  I hope the recipe I have for you today will make up for it though.  Once again, my best friend Angie is in the spotlight.  It was her birthday, well actually she is a Valentine baby so it was last week on the 14th.  Because I took my daughter to Kami-con Season 6, we were not able to celebrate on her actual birthday so we celebrated last night.  I had tried to coax an answer out of her about a week before her birthday about which cake is her favorite.  All I could get out of her is "Well, you know I don't like coconut" and "Cake? I love any kind of cake!"  This was going to be tough.  See Angie is an excellent baker and she makes the best cakes, cookies and candies.  So I went to Pinterest to get ideas.  When I saw all the recipes for Tiramisu Cake, I knew I had to make one.  My daughter always laughs at me because I will look at cook books and magazines for ideas but I never go by the recipes.  I get an idea and then change it to my taste.  I hope you enjoy the recipe.  I know we did.  My sister, Kim and my cousin, Donna both said just give me a half a piece and they both regretted it.  I think Donna did end up getting her other half.  You try the recipe, I have to go, I think I hear a slice of cake calling my name.  Afiyet Olsun!

Cooking Directions
-
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two 9 inch pans with baking spray or grease and flour them.

-
Mix the cake mix, water, eggs and butter and pour equal amounts into each cake pan.

-
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden. A toothpick inserted into cake should come out clean.

-
            Let the cake cool completely.

-
While cake is cooling, combine the boiling water, instant coffee, Kahlua and powdered sugar and let cool.

-
Mix the whipped cream cheese, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar and Kahlua until smooth.

-
In a another bowl whip the heavy cream till stiff peaks are formed.

-
Pour the heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture and whip about 1-2 minutes, until well combined.

-
When the cake is cooled, cut the cake in half horizontally.

-
Place one cake half on the bottom of your cake plate and drizzle with the coffee mixture.

-
Place 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the cream cheese mixture on the cake and spread evenly to the edges.

-
Place the second half of the cake on top and drizzle with the coffee mixture. Top with 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the cream cheese mixture and spread evenly to the edges.

-
Continue in the same manner with the remaining two cake halves.

-
Using the remaining frosting, cover the top and sides of cake generously.

-
Place the 12 Lady fingers around the edge of the cake leaving about a 1 1/2 inch space between each one.  Drizzle a little of the coffee mixture on each Lady finger.  I poured the remaining coffee mixture into a squirt bottle and used it to do them one by one.

-
Dust the top of the cake with the cocoa powder and then top with the shaved Chocolate Curls. Afiyet olsun!
